Community Nurses

The District Nurse team provides a wide range of nursing services to those who are housebound and to people whose care can not be delivered in a more appropriate place. Their services range from simple tasks such as injections, eye drops and venepuncture to complex wound care and terminal care packages.
The Treatment Room Nurses provide services from 8:30am to 12 noon each weekday. The treatment room caters for those patients who are able to attend the centre for their care and includes many of the same services mentioned under the District Nursing role description.
Diabetic Nurse Specialist – The management of diabetic patient care. In the absence of a specialist nurse, this role will be covered by GPs and Practice Nurses.
